Tubu Tree Camp

Huddled in the 60,000 hectare Jao Reserve, Tubu Tree Camp is a small and intimate stay offering land and water safaris in Botswana’s Okavango Delta.

Comprising five tents built on raised wooden platforms, each with a private front deck offering picturesque vistas of the floodplains, Tubu Tree Camp sleeps up to a maximum of 10 guests. Each tent has an en suite bathroom as well as a private outdoor shower, and there's also one family tent and one honeymoon tent.

The main dining and lounge areas are large, elegantly decorated tents also on raised platforms and built amongst the trees with views over the Okavango Delta floodplains.

The social areas lead out onto a wooden viewing deck while the outdoor pub incorporates the branches of a large marula tree into its design. There's also a swimming pool.

Wildlife seen from Tubu Tree Camp includes zebra, red lechwe, giraffe, tsessebe, wildebeest, kudu and bushbuck, with the camp being a particularly good base from which to view leopards.

Jao Concession in the Okavango Delta. A 20-minute light aircraft flight from Maun to the camp.

Accommodation

5 tents including, 4 x twin-bedded tents and 1 honeymoon tent. With 1 additional guide tent.

Activities

Land game drives, night drives with spot light, walking safari, mokoro rides, boat rides, fishing on a catch and release basis, raised hide for sleep outs.

Children

Children over the age of 8 are welcome and meal times can be adjusted to suit the children.
