Nxai Pan Camp is a luxury safari camp on the western edge of Nxai Pan, a grass-covered fossil lakebed, in Botswana's Makgadikgadi Pans. Despite the arid environment, it is home to an array of animals, birds and plants and is renowned for its proximity to Baines’ Baobabs, being the only camp within the Nxai Pan National Park.

Nxai Pan Camp provides eight spacious and elegant thatched chalets offering a mix of African traditions and contemporary comforts. Each one features a delightful deck overlooking the waterhole, the perfect place to sip a cocktail as you watch animals wander by.

Explore the surrounding area with thrilling game drives, interactive bushmen experience and trips to the renowned Baines’ Baobabs and Khama Khama Pan. After a tiring day, cool off in the plunge pool as you enjoy the views.

Nxai Pan Camp Information

Location and getting there

Nxai Pan Camp is located in Nxai Pan National Park in Botswana. It is a 50-minute light aircraft flight from the international airport at Maun.

Accommodation

It accommodates up to 18 guests in 8 spacious and airy thatched chalets, including a 2-bed family chalet. Each chalet is decorated with contemporary furnishings in a colour palette of creams, greys and browns and features an ensuite bathroom with indoor and outdoor showers and a verandah overlooking the waterhole.

Activities

Activities offered at Nxai Pan include game drives; day trips to the famous Baines’ Baobabs and Khama Khama Pan; star gazing; and an interactive bushmen experience.

Children

Children over 6 years old are welcome but families are required to use private vehicles. The camp is unfenced and parental supervision is required at all times.
