Lion Sands Ivory Lodge

The family-owned Lion Sands Game Reserve in the Sabi Sands, is home to five superb lodges on the banks of the Sabie River in the Greater Kruger region, South Africa. Of these, Lion Sands Ivory Lodge is the most luxurious and the only lodge in the Sabi Sands Reserve with access to the river where you are pretty much guaranteed spectacular game viewing.

Each of the six sleek villas has a private infinity plunge pool, indoor and outdoor showers, and air conditioning and open fireplaces to cover all extremes of daytime and evening temperature. There’s also a telescope for guests to view animals from the deck. Away from the villas, a beautiful main lodge wraps around century-old trees and overlooks the river

Fabulous food is prepared by the Lion Sands Ivory Lodge’s team of chefs, and there’s also a state-of-the-art spa and gym. Many activities are on offer - the ballooning safaris over the Sabie River Valley should not be missed.

Lion Sands Game Reserve is an award-winning lodge in the wildlife-rich Sabi Sands situated on the banks of the Sabie River in the Greater Kruger region.

Accommodation

There are vast suites, each with a separate living room, an open plan en-suite bathroom with an outdoor shower, air conditioning, open fireplaces, and a private heated swimming pool on an expansive viewing deck where guests are able to watch the wildlife. Floor-to-ceiling windows of the bedrooms offer fabulous views of the river bed below as well.

Activities

Astronomy, game drives, guided walks, viewing from the hide, hippo tours and wildlife lectures are all complimentary within guests' stay. Other activities comprise of spa treatments, ballooning safaris over the Sabie River Valley, clay pigeon shooting, private game drives, golf, helicopter rides, cultural village experiences and nights in a tree house, which will be charged additionally.

Children

Children over the age of 10 are welcome at Lion Sands Game Reserve and an extra bed will be provided.
