“The Salkantay Trail lodges are designed to provide accommodation for trekkers walking the fairly challenging route, and guests usually stay at this base camp for a couple of nights to acclimatise. Salkantay Lodge is the first of four lodges along the seven-day trek and it boasts 12 heated rooms, an outdoor Jacuzzi, a reading room, lounge with fireplace, and dining room serving Peruvian-fusion cuisine.”
