Located on Mughwango Hill in the heart of Meru National Park, Elsa’s Kopje in Kenya's Laikipia region is an elegant safari lodge. The location was made famous by conservationist George Adamson of Born Free fame, and the park offers the largest diversity of animals in East Africa, including a thriving rhino sanctuary.

The lodge has six cottage suites along with a family cottage, three honeymoon suites, and a private house with its own pool and gardens. The rustic rooms are open-fronted with large verandas and spacious bathrooms, while some cottages have romantic outdoor bathtubs.

Elsa’s Kopje is renowned for its cuisine, with hearty breakfasts, buffet lunches, and three-course dinners. The food is largely Italian with some international influences.

Activities include day and night game drives, guided bush walks, visits to the rhino sanctuary, river fishing, and cultural village visits. Back at camp, refresh in the infinity pool, and unwind with a massage before sundowners on the deck.

Location

Elsa’s Kopje is based in the middle of Meru National Park. There are daily flights from Watson airport in Nairobi to the Mughwangho or Kinna airstrips. These are 5 and 30 minutes away from the lodge
