Pen y Bryn Lodge is a luxury boutique lodge situated in flower-filled gardens atop South Hill in one of the most exclusive districts in Oamaru, on the East Coast of New Zealand's South Island. This property is a grand and sprawling mansion that retains many aspects of its Victorian heritage. Offering warm hospitality, charming accommodation, and mouthwatering cuisine, it will appeal to couples seeking a unique and indulgent escape.

Pen y Bryn Lodge provides five spacious and opulent rooms, all featuring a charming blend of old-world elegance and modern comforts with unique Victorian features such as clawfoot baths, magnificent sleigh beds, and antique French doors.

Evening dining is a highlight of the stay here. As members of the Slow Food Movement and the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, the lodge prides itself on serving seasonal, local, and healthful foods. Much of the produce comes from their own gardens.

The lodge is ideally located for exploring Oamaru and North Otago. Highlights include two penguin colonies, the Moeraki Boulders, Danseys Pass, Mt Cook, and Oamaru Opera House. Fishing, golf, and skiing can also be arranged.

Location & Getting There
The lodge is located in Oamaru on the East Coast of New Zealand’s South Island. It is just over an hour’s drive from Dunedin Airport.

Accommodation
It comprises 5 stylish rooms appointed to the highest standard. Two rooms are located in the main house and three are located in the Annex. The Annex rooms have been recently refurbished. All feature oversized beds, period furnishings, and all modern amenities.

Activities
There are endless activities to suit all tastes including cycling, rock climbing, fishing, skiing, golf, and wine tasting. The Oamaru Opera House, Mt Cook, Danseys Pass, Vanished World Heritage Trail, Moeraki Boulders, and the penguin colonies are all worth a visit.

Children
The lodge welcomes children aged 12 and over but it has more of a grown-up feel. Younger guests can be accommodated on request.
